Book title not showing up in italic

Using the J Am Chem Soc format, I have a book title that just will not show up in italic. The format is set to italic. I can even manually change the title to italic and it still won't show up as italic. The field code is clearly set to italic, but the output does not match. Actually, NOTHING is showing up in italic, not even Journals.



Ok, I changed the bibliography formatter to styled text, but now the font is wrong.

Now the font is wrong...in what way? Not the same as set in Preferences? If so, you no doubt have references where the font is not the default, and that carries through. Global Change -> Restore Default Font and Styles.

It was not Times, which is the default. It was some sans serif font.

I fiddled around a bit and right-clicked in the Title field and clicked Remove styles from this field. Perhaps I copied and pasted the title in there at some point, which carried the font style with it?

No doubt. The Global Change I gave you let's you remove styles in bulk.
