Hi,
I would like to duplicate certain references in a database (court decisions) in order to use them as a basis for new entries. Is it possible the "copy" references in this manner?

Yes. Open the reference you want, then

Edit -> Copy Reference

Edit -> Paste Reference (as many times as you like).
