I've used bibtex for writing my most recent paper. In the bottom of the main bookends window (the bottom "pane" if you will), I have the formatted citation showing, so it'll show the formatted citation for any format I wish.
When in bibtex mode, these formats will give you latex formatting, using \textit{stuff} for italics etc.
When I turned off bibtex in preferences and set all of the other settings back to normal, the bottom pane "formatted citation" is still showing latex formatting. Regardless of what I do, I cannot get rid of that formatting. "Copy formatted also gives latex formatting." This is with all formats as well.
Is this a bug, or am I forgetting something?
EDIT: It even shows the latex formatting in the "formats manager" window.
EDIT2: Deleting the preference file fixes things, but still, I think this was a bug. I've saved the preference file if anyone would like to take a look at it. I'd compare it myself except it's jibberish to textedit.
Weird issue with "Copy Formatted"
Re: Weird issue with "Copy Formatted"
It's not a bug. The way Bookends marksup bibliographies is set in Biblio -> Bibliography (Styled Text, ASCII, UTF-8, BibTeX, HTML, and maybe one or two others).

Re: Weird issue with "Copy Formatted"
Ah, I see, that is correct. I would have never have thought to look there. Maybe another pull down menu in the Scan & Bib section of preferences would be useful, just for the "Output as:" Pull down menu, not the format itself, but the "Styled Text, Plain Text, Bibtex, etc."
Then again, now that I know I'll never forget.
