Giving Bookends a try. I've imported a lot of different references and then tried "Get PDF from Internet (if available)" to download the PDFs. Unfortunately, I've had no luck.

I've copied from my EndNote preferences the OpenURL server address (open OpenURL, the EZProxy address, and the Proxy Server Authentication information. I've tried this from on my school's wired network, wireless network, and from home with a VPN connected.

Any hints about what I might be missing???

I should have mentioned that the unsuccessful records have DOIs entered, full citation information, and retrieve just fine in EndNote.

As mentioned in the user guide, Get PDF doesn't work for every reference. It is heavily dependent on the publisher and the web site where the pdf is linked to. But you can contact tech support directly with the doi of the reference and we'll see here what's happening.

P.S. If you use Bookends Browser you can always get any pdf that you can navigate to.
