Search by ID#

Post by Nhaps »

My work has a lot of temp references, and I often need to find them back in BE. I want to search a reference by its ID# judging it is faster than typing the author's name (numerous references to a single author). Under the drop down arrow I see no option for ID#. Thanks for any input.

Use Command-F, search for unique ID is an option.

Thank you. Would it be possible to put it in the All fields search? That would save a step, in a newer update.

Live search for a unique ID doesn't make much sense to me. And there would be extra steps there, too. Select unique ID from the triangle popup, search, then deselect unique id from the triangle popup (because you're mostly going to want to do regular searches). So you'd save little or nothing over what you do now: Command-F, select unique ID, and search.
