Hi,

I just downloaded Bookends On Tap and absolutely love working on it on the iPad. So far it's very smooth and intuitive!

I do have a question about the sync. Does BoT automatically sync with Bookends? So if I add notes to a reference, should I expect them to appear in Bookends as well, or do I need to do some kind of manual push?

I ask because last night I marked up five different references adding or revising notes in each using BoT and this morning went to work on Bookends but the notes were not added to the references.

Both BoT and Bookends are on my home network and the initial sync (which was of two smartgroups) worked without a hitch (even transferring some very large PDFs).

You have to initiate the syncs yourself (it works via Bonjour). Since you've done this once, you already know how it works. There's also a description of it in the BoT user guide:
