At the suggestion of Jon I am checking if there is any interest in an extra menu item to the Refs menu namely "Duplicate ref only". This would duplicate the highlighted reference just like the present Duplicate CMD-D command but without the attachment. I would find this very useful when duplicating multi-volume works, and wondered if this is generally shared. A possible shortcut for this menu item could be Shift-Cmd-D.
