Removing brackets in BibTeX reference line

Post by Nhaps »

I need to remove brackets on a certain BibTeX reference line. On Field Order, under Biblio, Formats Manager, I get the following BibTeX line: "journal = $`{`f`}`,$," which outputs "journal = {full journal title},". What I need is this: "journal = journal title," without the brackets. I tried removing the brackets but the succeeding fields were altered in a way that messed up the reference data. Thanks!

Make sure that you remove the force quotes (`) around each f, too.

Thank you, that worked. The problem is that I had to refresh the window and select again for change to take place.

BTW, I am unsing a LaTeX platform online/on the web and I was wondering whether I could use Control-K to copy formatted citation to my bib file (I am using ShareLatex) and currently using Control-C+V and was wondering if there's a better way. Thanks.

Well, Command-C, Command-V is pretty easy. But Command-K should work as long as you've made ShareLatex (or whatever WP you're using) your default WP. And as long as it understands the generic Paste AppleEvent. If not, you need to Paste yourself.
