Just "and" between two authors/editors

Is there a way to insert just " and " between two authors or editors, while maintaining the ", and " formula for the last of three authors/editors?

That is, I want this ultimate result:

Allardyce Nicoll and John Smith, eds., ...

If there are just two editors. But if there are three, you get:

Allardyce Nicoll, John Smith, and Jane Freeman, eds., ...

Yes. In the Name punctuation tab, "Between last names", use the ^. Whatever comes before the tab will be used for 2 authors, what comes after will be used for 3 or more authors.
