I have many author middle initials imported without "period". Is there a global way of fixing this without manual work? I don't think Formats Manager can help me because it does not include middle initial. My preference for all author fields is as follows: "Doe, Jon B."

No, Bookends won't add periods to initials for you.

request for future relase then, that Formats Manager will include option for middle initial.
