A 10.5.2 bug?

Post by martinjp »

Closing the Inspector window with ctrl-W closes both that window and the main library window. Closing the inspector by clicking the red 'traffic light' functions normally.

The Inspector is not a document window, it's a floating window. So it doesn't get the focus in the same way and the keyboard command will go through to the underlying library window.

Okay, that makes sense. However, the Inspector looks (to my untrained eye) just like the (new) reference editor window, which *does* respond to crtl-W. I have to break my fingers' habits!

It is rather similar in appearance. But note that when you bring a document window to the front the Inspector window never goes behind it -- it deactivates but remains in front.
