Feature request: Adding citation before each entry in bibliography

Taking up a suggestion by Jon, I would like to know if the following request would be useful to more users than just me.
The citation guidelines in my area of research prescribe that in the bibliography each entry has to start with the citation used in the text including footnotes. Thus, the text could be:
"As was pointed out by S. Knöpke (2009; but see Kristiansen 1996a; 1996b; Knudson et al. 2004) matter of fact is that ..."
and the bibliography would look like:
Knöpke 2009: S. Knöpke, Der urnenfelderzeitliche Männerfriedhof von Neckarsulm. Forsch. u. Ber. Vor- u. Frühgesch. Baden-Württemberg 116 (Stuttgart 2009).
Knudson et al. 2004: K. J. Knudson/T. D. Price/J. E. Buikstra/D. E. Blom, The Use of Strontium Isotope Analysis to Investigate Tiwanaku Migration and Mortuary Ritual in Bolivia and Peru. Archaeometry 46, 2004, 5–18.
Kristiansen 1996a: K. Kristiansen, Die Hortfunde in der jüngeren Bronzezeit Dänemarks. Fundumstände, Funktion und Historischen Entwicklung. In: P. Schauer (Hrsg.), Archäologische Forschungen zum Kulturgeschehen in der jüngeren Bronzezeit und frühen Eisenzeit Alteuropas (Bonn, Regensburg 1996) 255–270.
Kristiansen 1996b: K. Kristiansen, The Destruction of the Archaeological Heritage and the Formation of Museum Collections: The Case of Denmark. In: W. D. Kingery (Hrsg.), Learning from Things: Method and Theory of Material Culture Studies (Washington, London 1996) 89–101.
At the moment, this is not possible in BE. As a workaround the author could be added twice (this is indeed how my format is defined at the moment), but then the initials of the first instance would have to be removed manually. For comparison, in Endnote there is a special section in the format manager where it can be specified that each entry is preceded by the Citation. This worked quite well for me, even for edge cases which in the example above would probably enclose Knudson et al. 2004 and the disambiguation of the Kristansen citations.
Are there more users for whom such a feature would be useful?
Cheers,
Nils
