Hi.
I've been trying to make a bibliography with a wide variety of reference types and a large number of references (783, to be exact). All of these were obtained from doing searches through bibliographical indexes. A number of these references are book chapters, and a small proportion of them have no editor listed for the book. Now what happens when I output a bibliography (using APA 4th ed), is that instead of:
Chapter Title. In Book Title
which is what I would expect, I get
Chapter TitleBook Title
with no "in", and no space in between the titles.
Naturally I can make a special type for these editor-less chapters, but this does seem to be a bit of a bug.
That's all for now, thanks.
Book chapters with no editors
It's not really a bug, it's just that when I created the format I didn't take that into account.
Anyway, it's just a matter of moving a space around (see User Guide for info on how missing fields are dealt with).
Use this as the order for book chapter:
a. (d). t.$ In$ e$ (Ed++.),$v. $(pp. $p-$). $l: u.
Note that the space after 'In'
$ In $e
was moved outside of the "quoted text"
$ In$ e
