Hello all,

A pure luxury, but one that would be incredibly useful for me, at least.
Not sure if its (a.) possible, or (b.) something other's would want?

The formatting view, currently shows what the selected reference will look like.
AFAIK, it's defaulted(?) to the Bibliography view?

Not sure if this can be changed or not - would be really nice if we could:

1.) See the Footnote/Citation version AND
2.) (cherry on top) What the Repeated Citation option would look like? Possibly one under the other - or separated in whichever way?

Again - might be the exception, but my Bibliography output looks quite different to my Footnote output, which is again far different from my Subsequent Citation output.

Currently, if I want to see BOTH, I need to go into the Formats Manager, and look at the the 'live-display' at the bottom of the pane.
This still doesn't show the Repeated Citation obviously.

If the Repeated Citation isn't possible - simply being able to select which one can be displayed in the Formatted View, would already be a big help.

Yes, I find your suggestion very interesting. This would be great. You have my vote.

You can do this in the formatted display now. Create a format in which the bibliography display is actually the citation display (e.g. for APA 5th, create a format called APA 5th Citation in which the citation values are used for the bibliography display). Then you can use that to see what the citation would look like (don't actually use the APA 5th Citation format for scanning, it's only for display purposes). The same for secondary citations.
