Specific gui for notes?

Post by pepemac »

Hello.
I´m considering switch from Sente to Bookends and I apreciate your effort to facilitate transit to Bookends.
One of the features that I use intensively in Sente has to do with notes.
Do you have in mind design a specific gui to display search results or smart lists of notes?
Thank you very much.

As for display UI, you can use a bit of markup to get notes to look nice -- headers, half-headers, and tags. If you import a note from Sente (use File -> Import -> From Sente) that has these elements you'll see how they look in Bookends. You can see images and an explanation of how it works in the User Guide (Help menu, p. 86-92).

You can search notes just like any field and get the corresponding references. If you want to search and display notecards specifically, you can do that in Live Search by setting the search field to "Notecard" (use the magnifying glass popup menu).

Does this answer your question, of did you mean something else?

Not, your explanation is enough.
Thank you very much.
