swedish characters

Post by kuwi »

When looking up "Åkesson" in Libris (swedish national library) it doesn't seem to matter which encoding I choose: none of them shows the correct characters - mostly it's a spanish question mark instead of Å.

Is there anything I'm doing wrong?

Best wishes /Kurt

The Library of Congress Gateway doesn't handle encoding very well. Go to the filter itself (Import Filters Manager) and in the Internet tab set the search to Direct Access Z39.50 and the text encoding to Western European (ISO-8859-1).
