Here is where I am:
Sitting in the BE browser, I've found a paper within Web of Science and made it to the publishers site and am looking at the PDF from a publisher's site. How do I get that PDF and its metadata into my library?

If Bookends can recognize that there's a reference there, the download button (down arrow) should appear in the top right of the window. Click it, select the references that you want to import, and click Import. There's an option to get the PDF. If Bookends can't get the PDF from the server, you can still download it -- drag and drop the PDF proxy icon onto your library window (or right-click on it) and it will be imported and attached to the selected reference.

Please check out Bookends Browser in the User Guide (Help menu) -- everything that you can do in this view is explained, mostly with images, too.
