When using Replicate as Book Chapter under Show With Chapters there are two problems:

(1) the new reference does not appear immediately. We have to refresh Search With Chapters and then it appears. Would it be possible to make it active right away? This request is not urgent, but it does save time in the long run.

(2) instead of the new reference appearing, the parent pops up when we set up Standalone Window in Prefereces. In my view the parent should not open, only the new referecence create.

By the way, a shortcut for Show With Chapters would be appreciated. Thanks!

I don't see that. If I select a book in the list and do a Refs -> Duplicate As Book Chapter then the book chapter is opened in the standalone edit pane.

Hmm, that is odd. I will keep an eye on what the problem might be.

Correct, I got that working fine.

One area of improvement I used to think on the Chapter Replication feature is on scrapping the chapters from the table of contents of the parent.

Sending the Title, Author and Page from the Table of contents of the parent pdf to the Title, Author and Page of the child(chapter) would be a neat automation. But, I cannot request this because it is completely different periphery, and, not a task that a reference manager supposed to do. It, however could be done as an add-on using by programming either Javascript or Python.
