Bookends Menu Bar Slips Behind Mac OS Menu Bar

I've noticed that when I move Bookends (12.7.7) around my desktop that the Bookends Menu Bar will slip behind the Mac OS (10.12.2) Menu Bar. When it does this I cannot drag Bookends it back out. I have to quit and reopen Bookends, which centers it again on the desktop. I can't do with any other app. Is there a way to control this? I've attached a screen shot.

I know. I've spent some time on this and unfortunately the perfectly (apparently) good code I've written to prevent this can be bypassed. You can always restore the window to the normal screen with Window -> Reset Window Position.
