Font size cannot be changed

I am using Bookends 12.7.7. Sometime since I last used it, all of my references have been switched to Times 8.5 font. When I try to change the font size (or font itself) in Preferences > General, nothing happens. (I tried Bibliographies, References, and Lists) For example, I can try to change the font to Symbol or the size to 14, and nothing changes in the display. The next time I go back to Preferences > General, my change is remembered, though.

The program is acting like the change is not being propagated to the various windows and output even though the Preferences pane remembers the change.

Please do a Global Change -> Restore Default Font and Styles to your references (you might do this first on a COPY of your library). Now all refs should be displayed in the defaults you set for references.
