Advanced search doesn’t always behave as it should, e.g, when I place ‘American Economic Review’ in return articles published in for some date range I get many google books but no articles actually published by AER. This kind of behavior happens very often making the advanced search function quite unusable. Hope this can be worked on or even better maybe I am doing something wrong.

We only control what is submitted, Google controls what is returned. If you find a discrepancy between BOT and Safari (browser search) in what Google returns please contact us at our tech support address:
bookendsontap@sonnysoftware.com with the search request and a screenshot of the advanced search view in BOT.
