Moving from Sente to Bookends

I’m thinking of switching to Bookends from Sente. I'm in the midst of my dissertation and uncertain about Sente. Does anyone have any notes or insights on the transfer process. I’ve read the notes on Bookends website. I understand my quick tags will not transfer but my annotation notes do (except for images). Additionally, can you tell me if when the transfer is complete to Bookends, does it leave Sente functional and in its original state?

Bookends doesn't touch Sente's database, it's fully functional after transferring refs to Bookends. As for Quick Tags, note that we have implemented metatags (which are similar, but not identical) in Bookends 12.7.9. And we're going to enhance metatag functionality in the next Bookends update. So you may be able to recreate some of your Sente workflow with regard to tagging in Bookends.

Thank you very much. I've "practiced" with a small number of references and all seems to work well. Thank you for the word on the tags.

I noticed the transferred PDF are in their own folder inside the Bookends attachment folder, can these be moved to the main attachments folder, or is it essential they stay in the folder created when the transfer completes?

I plan on reading the manual this evening and I'm sure many of my questions will be answered. Thank you for the quick reply, I did not want any of my "experimentation" unknowingly damage my current organization.

You can move them out of that subfolder to the main default folder, it won't matter.
