iCloud Sync - sync preferences for labels and tags?

Moved from Sente to Bookends, very very excellent replacement. Thanks for creating and maintaining it.
I have setup iCloud sync for my devices (iPads and Macs). This works really well for attachments and keywords.
I haven't been able to find out if and how Bookends syncs tags and labels. I have setup my home Mac as the primary machine and my laptop and iPad as secondary machines. On this primary machine, I have added text labels to the color labels in preferences (e.g. Purple means the article has relevant references that I need to download). When I sync via iCloud, it does sync the color (but not all the time), but not the text label. That makes it a bit confusing to see which labels I have on my secondary machines.
Same goes for metatag - I have defined several metatag hierarchies on the primary machine, but after syncing they don't show up on my secondary machines.
Is this feature not available, or am I not doing the sync properly? It appears that this issue is related to the Bookends Preferences file, that's in the ~/Library/Application Support/Bookends folder.
Thanks.
