hello,
I am using Bookends on both desktop and iOS and am generally finding it good for my needs. I have used Papers, Readcube and tried few others in the past.
However, the annotation feature on Desktop seems a little too clumsy. One click to activate it...then scroll down to find the option and repeat again if you have to highlight next line.
Could it be simplified ? Can the Pdf not exist with all annotations options active always?
Please tell me if i missed some possibilities as i am still not well versed with all options.
regards
Rahul
Can PDF annotation be simplified
Re: Can PDF annotation be simplified
We do provide keyboard shortcuts to make it easier.
But I agree it could be a bit smoother. I've been working on an entry/edit window that would simplify adding notes, tags, quotes, etc. As for having highlights always turned on, I've thought about that. It's the UI that is troublesome. I'm open to suggestions about how people might like to see that implemented.

I would find highlights always on quite annoying, but perhaps a toggle mode. I think having some annotation icons that would toggle would be most natural. This is how Preview and PDF Expert handle annotations.
