One license, two machines

I am getting my laptop repaired but need to be able to continue working with Bookends while it's in the shop. I've installed it on my wife's laptop, and my understanding based on the FAQ on the topic is that I should be able to register it on my wife's computer simply by entering the registration code again without having to take it off of the other laptop. However, when i enter the code, I get an error message that says "Not a valid license number." I've quadruple checked I'm entering it correctly. What am I missing here?

You're probably using a code from an earlier version of Bookends. Bookends 12.x codes begin with BE12...

Ah. I see. I did buy Bookends 11, but was granted a free upgrade to 12 soon after because I purchased it after Jan 1, 2013. I don't have record of a different code being supplied, however.
