Is cite while you write, and compiling Bibliography, supported on Apple Pages 5?

Cite while you write means updating the document as you enter/remove citations. The only wp that Bookends does that with is Mellel (we call it Live Bibliography). Bookends can scan Pages 5 document to produce a bibliography. It can't unscan, though, the way it does with Word, Mellel, and NWP.

And, it seems Microsoft Word 15 (on Mac) has walled itself off -- so, a lot of the functionality like inserting citations and generating bibliography has been blocked??

Is there documentation on all this stuff somewhere?

Why do you say that? Inserting citations and scanning Word 2016 documents works fine here, and I've had no reports of problems.

The User Guide (and all tutorials) are available in the Help menu. Working with Word is covered in detail (and has a video tutorial devoted to it).

My "Add-In" menu was not showing on Word 15.xx. I deleted an old copy of Word 2011, and reinstalled Word 2016. This seemed to resolve the problem. The "Add-In" menu now shows, and I'm able to Scan Document from it and create the Bibliography.

Thanks.

(may be this post title should be MS Word, more so than Apple Pages)
