Search box obscuring search focus

Just noticed that in Bookends for iOS when I search for a paper that the selection boxes enabling me to narrow the search down by author etc are now obscured by the search box

We know. Expect an update to Bookends for iOS soon (it's in the hands of the App Store review team now).

Great to hear! I am pleasantly surpised at how well iOS 11 is allowing productive use of my various writing related apps.
Scrivener and DTTG in split-view, with BEoT as a floating 3rd, allows Mac-like writing with negligible drawbacks!

It's a bug in iOS 11 and we haven't found a workaround yet.

FWIW, this same bug is manifested in DevonThinkToGo2, and AFAIK they are also struggling to get it to work as expected.
