Dealing with multiple confusing unmatched citations

Hi, I'm trying to scan a Word 15.32 document using Bookends 12.8.4. I've scanned the document in the past, and now am trying to do a proofreading scan. However, Bookends finds multiple unmatched citations. However, the information I am getting from Bookends is confusing, for instance, it tells me: "The citation "citationItems" :{"id":"ITEM-1","itemData":{"DOI":"10.1029/95JB00715"... " (it's much longer than this, but hopefully you get the gist.)
Basically it seems to be throwing everything in the database but the author at me, which makes it difficult to see what citation it is choking on. I guess I am wondering what I did wrong, and how I can figure out where Bookends is in its scan of the Word document so I can figure out what citation it is referring to. Thanks.
