Citeseer

Has anyone here knows how to import Citeseer references directly into Bookends? For those who don't know, Citeseer (citeseer.org) provides a free access to lots of references for the computer science literature, similarly to what PubMed provides for the medical literature. Also, how easy would be to write a Citeseer filter for use on Internet search? Thanks,

I took a quick look. There is no Z39.50 access, so you have to use a browser.
If you output as "citation", journal items do seem to be in stereotyped order. So I imagine it might be possible to use the Source parser feature of Bookends' import filters to place the right data in the right field. Since it's not tagged, though, mistakes may occur of course.

Thanks Jon. I realize that it may not be easy to do. Even with using a browser. What I'll try to do is to get the bibtex portion of each citation and copy and paste in a text file.

No need to copy/paste to a text file -- Bookends will import from the clipboard.
