bold, italics doesn't work in references

I have enclosed the screenshot, I did format the journal and volume in italic but it is not reflected, the same issue occurs with bold. I tried Refs > Global change >Restore default font & style for entire library.
The library does work fine well in another MacBook, I don't know what is wrong here

Check out the default font you're using for bibliographies in Font Book. It may not have a bold or italic face. Or it may be corrupted.
If neither, make sure your output is set to Styled Text (Biblio -> Bibliography).
