I have tried importing from an EndNote X9 library that contains Unicode using the method given on the web page:
In EndNote:
• Launch EndNote and open the reference library you want to import.
• If you want to import a subset of EndNote references, select those references in the library window.
In Bookends:
• Choose File -> Import References From EndNote -> All References or Selected References
It works, but Unicode is still garbled. Am I doing something wrong?

It shouldn't be. Export one of those references (only the one) to an EndNote XML file and import that. If the Unicode is still garbled, please send me that single-reference file. support@sonnysoftware.com
