I see that on page 247 of the manual it says that while using a carat "If a citation group contains more than one reference, the author(s) for the first citation will be placed in front, and the authors of the other references will not be displayed, e.g. Franks (2000, 2003)"

So I have this {^Swain, 1985, #19114; Swain, 1995, #80880}

But when I scan, I get this "1995; Swain (1985)"

Anyone know how I can get Swain (1985, 1995)?

This is a bug and will be fixed in the next update.

In the meantime, you can fix this yourself by either

1. In the format's Citation Options -> Common Settings, turn off sorting within a citation group.

2. Pre-sort the temp citations in that group so Bookends doesn't change their order in the final citation.
