problem with endnote clipboard content

Please be patient with a new user:
my library server (http://kug1.ub.uni-koeln.de/portal/opac?view=all) offers to display selected records as "endnote"-compatible. For example, when I copy the displayed text, I get a clipboard content as such:

%A Lee, Hermione
%T Philip Roth
%C London
%I Methuen
%D 1982
%Z 95 S.
%W USB Köln / USB-Magazin / 6C8456 / -

%A Roth, Philip
%T Portnoy's complaint
%7 7. print.
%C New York
%I Random House
%D 1969
%Z 274 S.
%W USB Köln / USB-Magazin / 2C2778 / -

In bookends, when I try to import via the "import references"-command with the clipboard option checked, bookends imports nothing, even with the "EndNote (Refer)"-Filter. I am using OS X Tiger 10.4.3.

Do I have to design a new filter for this task or is it possible with an existing one?

Thank you in advance,

Markus

Hi,

The Bookends Refer filter expects each reference to begin with

%0

(That's a zero. This tag is for the record Type, such as Journal Article). That's the default for EN.

You should change the filter (or create a New one based on the one we supply) to look for

%A

(author).

Hi,

finally my freshly-bought software seems to be working! Thank you for answering so soon - now I enjoy using bookends again. (And thanks to the recent Mellel upgrade, I will enjoy both programs even more...)

Thank you,

Markus
