No Split View Mode for Two Libaries?

I would like to view two different citation libraries side-by-side in split-view mode. I can put a library window in split-view mode with a different app. However I cannot put two different libraries in split-view mode.

v13.4.8 on macOS 10.15.7

As I understand it split mode is for two different apps, not 2 windows in the same app.

I can do split-view to show two different

* projects in Curio
* vaults in Obsidian
* documents in BBEdit
* spreadsheets in Numbers
...

So the limitation seems to be within Bookends.

Maybe we're doing it differently, but I can get it to work with 2 Bookends libraries, too.

Open both libraries. Click on hold on the green button for one library. Release and it occupies the left half of the screen. Then click on the second window and it fills the right side of the screen.

The issue was resolved by doing a restart. I should have tried that first.

The problem appears to be that the minimum width of the window for Bookends is too large to fit in half of a 16in MacBook Pro screen in its default resolution mode. Two library windows cannot be put exactly side by side on that screen -- they overlap.

Folks who have screens that are 16in or smaller in size might test to confirm my finding.

* Open two library windows on your screen.
* Try to put them side-by-side (not split view).
* Note whether they can be put side-by-side without overlapping. If they CANNOT ...
* Try going to split-view mode
--> You should not be able to do so with the two library windows.

I can confirm that split-view fails on a 15" Macbook Pro, each window itself cannot be resized manually to half the screen width either...
