Hullo,

I'm a long time zotero/word user just switched over and trying to get my head around the new way of doing things.

I'm struggling to work out/ find information on editing temporary citations i.e. {Dreyfus, 1982, #79202}

By this I mean things like adding prefix or suffixes, page numbers and suppressing the author so only the date shows. For example, I might want to write: For example, Dreyfus claims blah blah blah (1982, p.100).

If someone could kindly point me in the right direction (either to where this is documented, or explain how to achieve this) that would be most appreciated.

Like everything else in Bookends, how to modify temp citations for special cases is covered in the User Guide (Help menu).

Use Cited Pages to output one or a range of pages like this: {temp cite@1-2}. How the cited pages are handled is defined in the format you are using.

There are a variety of metacharacters for modifying how temp citations are handled. Start on p. 234 of the guide. Here's an example for putting the author in front: {^temp cite}

Look at Edit -> Copy Citation with Modifiers for a quick summary of what's available (and let Bookends create it for you if you want).
