i am sick to death of bookends deleting my hits for no apparent reason
i swear it isn't me
is there any reason for this????????

You don't provide much detail.

The hits are evanescent -- the are usually replaced whenever you do a Find, for example. If you want a particular set of hits retained, turn them into a group.
