Any way to "mass delete" notes?

I just migrated from Papers 3 and discovered notes in all the note fields that cause Papers 3 to launch. Otherwise I have not used Notes and have no need to retain the data presently in them. Is there a way to mass delete all the notes in my 6800 references?

Global Change -> Change Field -> put nothing into field Notes for the entire library (by nothing I mean no text in that text box).
As always, when doing a major global change I'd do it on a COPY of the library since it is not undoable.
