Will there be a future version to get the references updated to PubMed's latest? I.e. from e-pubs to the print references, say, by looking up the same PMID?

You mean have Bookends actively revisit PubMed periodically and try to reconcile references in the db with those on-line, and update automatically if they are different? No, no plans for that. FWIW, Bookends does import the PubMed URL. So it isn't difficult to visit a particular reference if you think it needs updating.

would be a nice feature...as most of the journals have now e-prints ahead of publication
