Feature Requests: Additional options for browser view menus

Suppose that I have a reference that does not have a URL. I do a GoogleScholar search and find the reference in the BE browser view. I would like to transfer the URL that is in the browser view to fill/replace the (empty or existing) URL field for the reference. I had hope to simply click on the bookmark icon to the left of the URL field in the browser and find a menu choice equivalent to "Use as URL for reference".

Similarly, suppose that reference does not have a DOI (or PMID). The browser view for the article shows a DOI link. I can context click on the DOI to see menu options from Open Link to Share Link to Share (with sub-options) to Make New File in Filed Documents (I presume this is from BE). I had hoped to also find an option equivalent to "Use this as DOI for reference" (and equivalent when also possible for PMID).

I hope these options would be considered for future updates.

Thanks for the suggestions. For the first, I assume you are using the browser in the bottom pane, so it "belongs" to the reference. If it were in a standalone window Bookends wouldn't know what reference you wanted to modify.

As for the second -- the contextual menu is created by WebKit, not Bookends.

Yes exactly.

If you have any way to hook into that menu, the additions would be very useful. Another one is for example is to select the text in the web view and have the context menu provide options to "Paste as ... (title, abstract)"
