Hi, after I performed copy citation in the word, the temporary citations appeared normally. But after I scan the document, although I can see the temporary citations were changed into the reference number in sequence, I can not see the bibliography formed in the end of the document. Is there any possibility I missed? And the numbers of the citation appeared in a quotation mark. How can I change them to the suprascript? Thank you!

What language is your system?

How the citations appear is controlled by the format you are using. You should open it in the Format Manager and set the citation output to superscript.

Thank you for prompt reply. The language I used in the document is English.
The suprascript without brackets was successfully formatted in the format manger.
I can output the bibliography to the bibliography window, but I did not get it in the end of word document after I scan the document.

Dear Jon,
Thank you for the kind support.
I tried to check everywhere related to the security control.
The scan document functions well in my Macbook with Monterey OS, but not in the Macbook Pro with High Sierra OS.
Is there anything I can do in the High Sierra to correct it?

HIgh Sierra is not a problem. You might try rebooting in Safe Mode (Shift key held down) and see if that helps. There is obviously something unexpected on your system that seems to interfere.

Thank you for the suggestion.
Rebooting with safe mode does not solve this problem.
However, I can scan document and make bib. Then copy the bibliography to the word document.
