Change the reference type of multiple entries at the same time

Is it possible to change the reference type (book or article) of multiple entries at once? So if I have two entries for articles in Bookend, and I want to change the reference type to a book section, is it possible to do them at the same time or do I have to individually change them? I need to do this on a larger scale than in this hypothetical scenario, so I hope bulk editing reference types is possible.
