Feature Request

Post by doclrb »

Good Morning,

Context: In my work flow (such as it is!), PDFs of references accumulate in separate tabs in my default pdf reader (Adobe Acrobat).

Request: Is it possible to create a feature so that one could drag an adobe tab and drop it on Bookends for creation of a new entry?

Thank you for consideration of this matter.

That's up to Acrobat, not Bookends. If you drag and drop the PDF window proxy icon onto a Bookends library, Bookends will offer to attach it. I don't know if you can do that same kind of drag from an Acrobat tab (I only have the Reader, and I don't know how to open a PDF in a tab). You can experiment with what you have yourself.

I got tabs to work.

Select the tab of the PDF you want to attach, then click and hold the PDF proxy icon (in the titlebar of the window) and drag/drop it on the Bookends library window. Bookends will offer to attach it, with all the usual options.
