Copy selection as quote with citation

Is it possible on iOS to copy the currently selected text in a PDF as a quote along with a citation?

What I’m thinking of is something like the following that I coukd paste as text into another app if I have temporary citations set to Pandoc:

> some quoted text [@citeKey, p. 35]

Is something like that possible?

You can do something like that in Bookends for Mac, but I don't think you can in Bookends for iOS. Serge will correct me if I'm mistaken.
