Does BE's Word plugin allow Cite As You Write?

It seems that, when you cite something inside of Word, it switches to Bookends where it opens a search dialogue. I'm coming from Mendeley and then Zotero where the shortcut opens a tiny search box where I can type the title, select the right article, press enter, type the page number, press enter, and enter again to insert the footnote and keep writing. This seems like a great workflow compared to anything that involves mouse clicking or window switching.

Does BE or a plugin allow for Cite As You Write?

Use Floating Citations. With Bookends running, while in Word double tap the Control key and a floating window appears that lets you search your references and do pretty much anything you want with them in Word -- insert a temporary citation, add metacharacter modifiers or cited pages and insert that temporary citation, even read the reference's attached PDFs. Floating Citations work with any app, not just Word or even just word processors.

Floating Citations are covered in this video tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYVBsbjwZP8
