References sequencing options not in APA style

The APA format for References sections is determined by the alphabetic sequence of the initial letters authors' surnames; after that year-of-publication. But my Bookmarks output is sequencing by first author surname, then date. Here's an example:

George, D. N., & Pearce, J. M. (1999). Acquired distinctiveness is controlled by stimulus relevance not correlation with reward. Journal of Experimental Psychology: Animal Behavior Processes, 25, 363-373. https://doi.org/10.1037/0097-7403.25.3.363

George, D. N., Duffaud, A. M., & Killcross, S. (2010). Neural correlates of attentional set. In C. J. Mitchell & M. E. Le Pelley (Eds.), Attention and associative learning: from brain to behaviour (pp. 351-383).

George, D. N., & Pearce, J. M. (2012). A configural theory of attention and associative learning. Learn Behav, 40(3), 241-254. https://doi.org/10.3758/s13420-012-0078-2

The APA format is:

George, D. N., Duffaud, A. M., & Killcross, S. (2010). Neural correlates of attentional set. In C. J. Mitchell & M. E. Le Pelley (Eds.), Attention and associative learning: from brain to behaviour (pp. 351-383).

George, D. N., & Pearce, J. M. (1999). Acquired distinctiveness is controlled by stimulus relevance not correlation with reward. Journal of Experimental Psychology: Animal Behavior Processes, 25, 363-373. https://doi.org/10.1037/0097-7403.25.3.363

All references are with *George* as first author. *Duffaud* and *Pearce* are 2nd authors, so Duffaud goes first. The remaining pair are both *George & Pearce* [dead heat], so year-of-publication puts them as 1999, then 2012.

In Biblio > Formats Manager… there is an option to select Alphabetize references, which is ticked. From there, there is a dropdown menu with 3 options. By default, 'Author,Date,Title' is selected and there are 2 others, but no option for the APA style.

I haven't written a References section for about a year, but I don't remember this happening before. Am I missing something, here?

The author sort is not limited to the first author's surname, it is the entire author list (including first names/initials). It's performed on the entry in the database, not what might appear in a formatted reference. So how the data are entered matter. Please contact tech support directly and attach your library (compressed if it's large) so we can look at it (support@sonnysoftware.com).
