Bookends 9: Paid or Not?

Is the Bookends 9 upgrade a paid one or free from BE8? I can't seem to find that info anywhere. Thanks.

It's on the order page:
* If you previously purchased any version of Bookends 8, your current serial number will work with this release. Simply install the new version on your hard drive and follow the upgrading instructions in the Read Me. This version is free for those who purchased Bookends 7.7.5 on or after November 1, 2004. If this applies to you, please send your name, Bookends registration number, and date of purchase to this address and we will e-mail you a new registration number free of charge.

Great! But the way this is written made me think that you hadn't updated this page since you updated to the new version (i.e., you were still talking aobut version 8.x in this paragraph).
