I can't clear a reference from a static group either by edit:clear or by delete key (which produced a message 'out of bounds error').

I quit BE9 and restarted, and the problem has gone away!

OK. If you haven't, rebuild your converted database with Bookends 9 anyway. And if it comes back, let me know -- not on this forum, which is not intended for tech support, but directly:
