I find that Bookends 9.01 (and 8.x) fails when I attempt to copy a citation to my LaTex editor/environment, TexShop. TexShop is correctly brought to the front, and the citation is put into the clipboard, but it does not get pasted into the text of my frontmost LaTex document. Any suggestions? Thank you,

For the paste to work, the linked application must understand the AppleEvent that Bookends sends it. My guess is that TexShop either doesn't handle AppleEvents (at least the paste AE) or that it uses a nonstandard AE for this. The solution, as you found, is to press the Command-V yourself.
