I have updated to 9.0.1
I decided to change the font in bookend preferences for all three options: biblio, refs, and lists.
but when I go through the reference views of some of my references, i notice that for some of the referenes the font for the title is still in deafult Arial size 11. When I change the title to my new font and size 12 (which is what I changed the setting to in preferences) it changes. but when I click on "title" to show the title extended- the font size is 14.
any suggestions for this?
changing fonts problem
Hi,
There are two issues here:
1. If you edit a field, the font info "sticks" even if you change the default font (this allows you to, for example, assign multiple fonts to an entry). If you want to revert to the default font, use Global Change -> Restore Default Font Style (on a subset of the db (the hits), or the entire db).
2. The font in the extended view is always 2 points larger than the "real" font. This is done to make it more easily readable. If you edit and close the extended window, the font is reduced by 2 points. So a 14 point size in the extended view means that the text is really 12 points in the working view.

Jon, thank you for the response.
For clarification:
I noticed that the majority of the fields were properly changed to the new font, and only a few random ones occurred this problem. You said that when you "edit a field" the font will stick even if I change the default font. Do you mean that if I enter a title in, and happen to come back afterwards to make a change (e.g. spelling) then that info will now stick?
Is there a way to remove that font info from "sticking" to the field?
Also is this only for the title field? I notice the other fields are all okay, even though I am sure I have made some edits.
Thanks again for your help.

No. If you change any style info in the field, all style info in that field will "stick" (if you change something to italics, for example, the font will stick).I noticed that the majority of the fields were properly changed to the new font, and only a few random ones occurred this problem. Yes, Global Change -> Restore Default Font Style. Is there a way to remove that font info from "sticking" to the field?
Or, copy the field and paste it back without styles (Edit -> Paste Plain Text)
No, it's true for all fields that accept styled text (i.e. those in the main reference window, not the drawer). Also is this only for the title field? I notice the other fields are all okay, even though I am sure I have made some edits.
