SciFinder Import

I'm one of the people who has a testimonial on the home page for Bookends - as I greatly prefer it to EndNote. However, I have now run up against something that might drive me back to EndNote in a hurry. I must be able to import SciFinder searches into Bookends.

Does anybody have a solution?

Maybe someone who uses SciFinder can help you. I do have a SciFinder filter that some sent me last year. You can contact me directly if you'd like to try it.

Hi,

I am using a scifinder filter, which I can send to you (maybe it is the same as Jon has). However, I always need to make a search/replace action in Textedit to insert blanks after ":". Otherwise BE cannot import the references.
Maybe this has been fixed in the meanwhile?

Hi maggus031,

It's the same. It's necessary because Bookends expects tags to end in a space (or tab), which the vast majority do. I'll think about possible workarounds.

Is there any progress on the scifinder filter?

Yes, I made it possible to import from SciFinder quite a while ago (you'd have to look at the update history page to see when). Have you tried it?
